HKAC Archi-Talk & Walk : Adaptive Reuse on Historic Building: "The Mills"

Nan Fung Textiles Limited was founded in 1954 during Hong Kong's booming manufacturing era of the 1950s. As Nan Fung grew to the height of its operations in the 60s and 70s, it significantly contributed to Hong Kong’s manufacturing, and reached a position of dominance in Asia.

Three of the former Nan Fung Textiles mills on the site - Mills 4, 5 and 6 - have been transformed collectively into “The Mills.” Incorporating the ‘city within a city’ concept into its architectural and spatial planning, each component within The Mills exhibits its own unique style and purpose while interconnecting among themselves.

The Mills is a distinct Hong Kong story and landmark revitalisation project. On the tour, Architects Boris Lo, Gary Ng, and Billy Tam will expand on this and discuss the background and how the revitalisation project was completed. Do not miss this Archi-Talk & Walk if you wish to learn more.
