HKIA X HKAC Archi-trip: "PEI in China, and Beyond"

I.M. Pei is not only a renowned international architect but is also considered a “life mentor” by many. His designs reflect his exploration of modern Chinese architectural styles, and his life experiences showcase his remarkable perseverance.
For this reason, Hong Kong Architecture Centre, in collaboration with the Hong Kong Institute of Architects, jointly organise this Archi-trip, which is curated and led by Ar. Raymond Fung, Ar. Corrin Chan, and Dr. Benjamin Yiu. We aim to share I.M. Pei’s artistic works and life philosophy with the participants, encouraging reflection. Apart from PEI’s two major works, projects by other architects in Beijing, Nanjing and Suzhou are selected as case studies for exploring Chinese traditional architecture modernization.

Package fee does NOT include: Lunch and dinner; personal expenses; optional tours, and all other items and/or services not specifically listed in the itinerary; charges arising from private transport delays, strikes, typhoons, or any unexpected situations, which are beyond our control; personal comprehensive travel insurance, etc.

Notes:
1. Participants should arrange their Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents.
2. Participants with foreign passports should arrange their Chinese entry visas.
3. The above package fee may be adjusted due to fluctuations in transportation and hotel prices. Any changes will be notified separately.
4. Successful applicants will receive a confirmation email with payment arrangements.
5. Payment should be completed by 9 Aug 2024. If the trip cannot be formed, the fee will be fully refunded.
6. Except for trip canceled by the Centre, payments are non-refundable or transferable once confirmed.
7. The Hong Kong Architecture Centre reserves the right to suspend, change, or terminate the activity. In case of any disputes, the Centre’s decision will be final.
