Chung Chi Ho and Forrest Lau, members of the Pang Jai Architectural Documentation Group, will share their views on the delicate relationship and integration between local civil architecture and Zine, covering stories of this community-driven project. Chung Chi Ho, who is now in Taiwan, will also share his insights on discovering local civil architecture there.
There are many different perspectives on the history of architecture beyond style, such as placemaking and community life. The theme of "People’s Architecture" will be to share the relationship between the self-built architecture and public space from the experience of architectural documentation of stilt houses. In addition, Forrest Lau will share the significance of the Zine design for urban record. Finally, he will also share the experience of studying in Taiwan, so that we can see another kind of architectural space.
The guests will showcase their works prior to the talk. You are welcome to come 20 minutes before the event starts.
